Asia

We work with Asia's poorest and most disadvantaged people, including tribal and homeless people, trafficked women, orphans and street children, small-scale farmers, bonded labourers and those rebuilding their lives devastated by natural disasters or conflict.

Regional and international work

In 2003 we developed a region-wide, people-centred campaign to combat HIV/AIDS and strengthened our regional campaign against trafficking of women, initiating a parliamentarian's group to address the issue.

We hosted Asian civil society consultations at the World Social Forum and worked with other organisations to set up a Trade Justice Campaign in Asia. We also worked closely with advocacy groups and social movements from the Philippines, Japan, East Timor and Malaysia.
